I started pole after spending a few years trying to find some form of exercise I enjoyed and would stick at. I'd moved to a new city and had to give up horse riding which I'd always been passionate about. I got bored of the gym too easily and needed something a bit more exciting. I'd thought about trying pole for a while but always put myself off thinking that it wasn't for me because I wasn't very strong and I had poor coordination. I finally plucked up the courage to attend my first class at Head Over Heels in April 2016 and I've never looked back since.
Not only has my strength improved dramatically but I'm much more confident and I've made friends for life. What I love about pole is the supportive environment and the fact that there is something for everyone. There are so many different styles to try and moves to learn that you are never bored. It's a great way to improve your strength and fitness while still having fun. I never want to miss a class.
